Just Joined Up!

Thanks for setting up this forum, I definitely prefer forums to facebook! I have one Makie called Ivy who I got for Christmas, I have one photo of her but need to take a better one. I'm waiting for Makie #2 who is being printed at the moment. I'll be allowed to check her over and then she is going away until my birthday in March. I love these dolls, they are so much fun and a lot less stressful than BJDs that are difficult to keep perfect.

Looking forward to this place getting busier!

Hi there Jupeycat, like you I much prefer a forum as well! I have a birthday in March as well! Hmmm...wondering if I can use that as an excuse to get another! I also prefer these to BJDs as well - they hold their poses SO much better. I used to have four BJDs, and sold all but one and I think she may soon be looking for a new home now.

You should definitely get another Makie for your birthday.

I love my bjds and all the different characters they have but I'm constantly worrying about damaging face-ups. With my Makie, I did her face-up so can just touch it up myself when it starts to wear off. When we start getting warmer weather, I'm going to seal her properly and add eyelashes.

I 'play' with my dolls, write photo stories etc...so I wanted some thing (ah hem, I have been told NOT a something, but rather a someone!) who would pose well and hold those poses. Plus I don't want to have to worry about damaging faceups etc... so I think Wren fits the ticket perfectly.

Well might not get one for my birthday but hopefully not too long afterwards!

I might be able to sneak a photo before she's put away for my birthday.
