I can't wait to see what the FedEx delivery is like. I always liked DHL, but the one thing that bugged me was that their shipping was "2-day" and it took 3-4 days. Every. Single. Time. Out of six times! But on the other hand, they would reroute packages for free.

I'm really crossing my fingers that FedEx 2-day shipping is really going to take two days.

Curiosity, do you happen to know about when the shipping changed to FedEx?

Not exactly. But Theral, my newest Makie, shipped in May and she was sent DHL. So they either switched in May, June, or July. I feel like they were already shipping FedEx by August, but I don't know for sure.

Also, correction: I ordered seven Makies with DHL shipping! Sorry Theral, I forgot about you even though you're right in front of me!

Edit: I wonder if the change to FedEx corresponds to the new free shipping on orders of $39 and up to US and UK. If so, I think that happened in June? But I could be wrong there, too.

I just need to resist the urge to be refreshing the tracker on my phone all day. It doesn't matter if they arrive at 8.31 or 4:30, I can't have them while I'm at work!

Have borrowed some watercolour pencils - I don't plan anything drastic because I'm not that artistic, but a little bit more colour on the lips and eyebrows.

This is me every time! Except mine get delivered to work, so it's hit refresh constantly. Then try to think of ways to sneak my parcel away to peek inside. My co-workers don't all need to know how crazy I am!

I still remember I didn't get to see Terry until I was on my way out of work and I snuck into the bathroom. I thought, okay, grumpy face, dark skin, whatever. Just make sure everything's in there. Then I opened the tube and I couldn't even believe how beautiful she was. I just stood in there staring at her.

I just checked the tracker - my Makies hit Fareham (a nearby town) at 2:06. So of course my first response was "And what do you think you're doing out in Fareham at two in the morning?!" Honestly, they'll be in time-out the minute they get home at this rate...

Thanks for the reply Smile The last time I ordered (which was also the first time I ordered, around April/May), they had the free shipping to the US/UK (I'm in the US). I couldn't remember who shipped it last time, but they didn't know which house was mine because my mailbox is across the street from my house. I'm just thankful my neighbor was home (they went to her door) and directed them across the street. So, a cardboard sign shall go up this time--don't want to have any Makies get shipped back to London. Rolling Eyes

"BlushNano" shipped yesterday, so she might arrive today, I hope. My tracking number doesn't seem to be working but that has happened to me before and it turned out okay.

2 days? Annoying. DHL was 24 hours for me (as is fed ex) but DHL had the advantage that I live like super close to their london depot (which is in heathrow). Fed ex, goodness knows.
My tracking informs me that my Makies have in fact left east london and arrived in Byfleet in the middle of the night. No guys! You went too far! Get back here! Stop running away! rargh.

Seriously, what adventure are those two on? Maybe they're gonna pop in on hubby in Woking and go see the martians heh.

My tracking doesn't work on the link they gave either, try the link I posted. It seems to work and I have no idea why.

Thanks for the link, it seems she is in Scotland having a "Transit Delay" but if she's at least in the right country then she should get to me today Smile I don't know where "Scottish Hub" is but I'm just outside Glasgow so I usually get deliveries quite promptly from various places.

Looks like my sourpuss 90s princess arrived!

I'm pretty happy with how his face turned out, it's a lot more endearing than the digital version I think.

I was less fortunate elsewhere though. I got a new pair of cocoa bean feet for Aurella in the same order but...

There's no way she can use them without them being covered. What a shame. They're actually a stunning shade of cocoa bean, it's just... Aurella isn't the same shade. I'm not really sure whether to email support about it, it's not really their fault that dye batches can't be the same every time...!

WOW those are dark feet.

and omg sourpuss prince looks fun.

Mine arrived this morning, i'll write up their arrival and dye baths in the gallery section in a bit. I'm so happy with them, though the boy's eye mech did snap when i tried to get it out *sigh* It's ok though, I blue tacked it in place *snort*

They are! They're really nice, there's a cocoa bean makie I have hanging out in my account that I really hope turns out that dark.

Sourpuss prince can be his new name. To me, he doesn't look at all like himself yet, so the transformation is going to be exciting. Very Happy

I look forward to seeing P_M! (Though sorry about the eye mech! I noticed mine was mega stiff, and also somehow incompatible with the existing two I have. I had thought only the torsos changed between boys and girls (aside from faces) but I notice the arms are different too, and... potentially the eye mechs as well? Or is that just my particular makie?)

Never tried to switch the eye mechs I have to admit, or.. looked that close at them.
but yeah, the boys have muscular arms heh, it's subtle, but there are these teeny differences.

Strangely, the classics the girls had even bigger heads than the boys, that was bizarre. now it's kinda the other way around ahahaha.

My two have arrived! I'm really pleased - there will be pictures later. Angie's wig turned out just how I was hoping - I'd had some concern she'd turn out ginger but no, proper reddish-brown. I'm going to give it a cut later.

And they both have pierced ears! I would have sworn that I had them as non-pierced and when I emailed to ask if it was too late to fix that I was told no. So either I misremembered or they were able to fix it but either way, time to source some earrings.

(And Jordan looked just as wrong as I expected in a dress. That was fixed _immediately_ upon arrival.)

 Oh I see...!

Hmm, I wish I'd known that all the way back when really! I would have preferred Aurella got the more muscular arms. I would have requested them immediately if I knew back when I bought her. All the diagrams I see around implied that the torso was the only difference.
This is why I always desperately wanted body customisation lmao. If differences like this exist, I want to be able to manually choose them. D:

It's 9pm now and kind of a bit worried something has happened to my delivery. Maybe she will turn up tomorrow. Kind of annoying though I mean she made it to Glasgow quick enough and the tracking info still says "Out For Delivery." So I have no idea what's happened there.
